about.

I am a psychotherapist and an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), using psychoanalysis as a core component of my practice.

My expertise lies in guiding those who are dealing with the aftermath of childhood trauma, which can include emotional dysregulation, obsessive thoughts, difficulties in establishing trust and intimacy, and sexualized behaviours.

My professional experience includes working in public health including acute adult mental health at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, community mental health programs, family services and substance dependence services. I have also worked in LGBTIQA+ health support programs and sexual assault services. Currently, I work in a private practice and at The Royal Children’s Hospital, focusing on assessing and providing therapy for children and adolescents with diverse and complex needs.

I am a member of the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis. Also, I am part of a network of mental health specialists who operate in Melbourne's inner north. For more information, please, visit: Inner North Psychoanalytic

Prior to my career in mental health, I worked as a consultant in the fields of visual arts, culture and media.

I also provide psychotherapy in Spanish and Catalan.

Medicare rebates and sliding scale fees are available.

psychoanalytic psychotherapy

The psychoanalytic method, ‘the talking cure’, addresses problems of life through speaking. It is oriented to listening deeply to each person and their uniqueness. It seeks to find singularity through investigating one’s history, concerns and desires.

This method works with any kind of difficulty, problem or anxiety. It can assist in dealing with a range of issues including depression, post-traumatic stress, panic attacks, obsessive thinking, grief and loss, family conflict, issues with intimacy, sexual identity, gender questioning, and relationship difficulties.

My approach is also oriented to understanding how aspects of the person’s identity such as gender, class, sexuality, culture, language, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, and mental & physical health combined create and shape their unique personality.
